Practice/Experience:
Mr. Paine is an associate whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation
and intellectual property. Prior to joining Rohde & Van Kampen PLLC, Mr. Paine
practiced at Rao & Pierce, PLLC.
Mr. Paine is experienced in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution
having represented both individual and corporate clients in all aspects of litigation
through to appeal. Mr. Paine's experience includes matters involving contract disputes,
corporate law, defamation, probate litigation, tort liability, and IP litigation.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Paine lived in Kyoto,
Japan where he served as the head chef for a traditional Japanese restaurant called Tosai. Mr. Paine is fluent in speaking, and proficient in reading and writing, Japanese.
Education/Background:
Mr. Paine received his J.D. from the University of California Berkeley, Boalt Hall School
of Law and his B.A.
from Wesleyan University, graduating with honors in East Asian Studies.
